Esprit International can supply electronic delivery of projects or the final product in both camera-ready and printed format - in multiple languages! We can coordinate the entire production effort of multilingual projects for our clients as their linguistic allies : manuals, newsletters, marketing, advertising and packaging materials to the camera-ready art.
Esprit's translators and production associates work with dozens of software programs both in Macintosh and PC platforms, to supply the widest range of services possible and work in compatible formats with our varied clientele. |
- Delivery in any format, hard or soft, in PC or MAC environment, with a wide choice of software options.
- Electronic delivery via e-mail or FTP on Esprit's own confidential server. This saves our clients time and administrative hassle, as well as the anguish of having to re-key text in a foreign language … at the risk of costly errors.
- Electronic delivery of Asian and other non-Roman alphabet text as Adobe Illustrator Outline or EPS files via e-mail or FTP, for direct import as graphics into your DTP projects. A preliminary PDF of the foreign-language page set-up and translation is submitted to our clients for their approval before proceeding with the costly stage of finalizing artwork and delivery of the files.

| Website Localization Translations | |
Early in the 1990s, Esprit developed specialized language services for Internet applications, particularly Internet marketing, website creation and servicing, and multimedia applications.
Esprit is the foreign language partner of several website design firms in the U.S. and Canada offering localization services. Esprit translators are trained to work on-line to produce and deliver foreign language versions of websites. All exchanges of material are handled electronically for greater production efficiency.
Multilingual “localization” is designed to support export sales and worldwide information distribution. Esprit understands how websites are created and our translators have worked closely with technical people making innovative inroads in this field. Esprit personnel surf the world online studying website treatment and the role of translation in this medium.
Esprit International has assisted with the development of multiple website projects in all major European and Oriental languages, including Japanese, Chinese and Korean. |
| In the early 1980s, Esprit International created Esprit Film Services to service the video and post-production markets. Esprit developed training aids for our employees in this area of specialization, headed by an Esprit employee trained in television production who was finalizing her Masters degree in film and dubbing techniques. Esprit gained precious experience working in numerous multi-language video projects that included supplying voice talent and in-studio monitoring and even produced French language programmes for TV Ontario. |
| The Esprit Value-Added Translation | |
| Years ago, the Value-Added Translation was created at Esprit to offer our clients superior linguistic service. Value-added means our linguistic product is created in consideration of the marketing/sales potential specifically with the target market in mind, as well as the creative or artistic context of the translated copy. Rather than simply supplying an academic translation of source text in marketing/advertising, Esprit provides an annotated text that provides suggestions for creative adaptation within the cultural context of your target market, encourages consultation, and gives you an appreciation of your image created through translation in foreign markets. |
